Sling Content Exporter Or Export Content As A Service
Since AEM 6.3 AEM can export the content to third party system either in the form of XML/JSON. Even adobe added a tagline with AEM that is headless CMS. So we need to understand first what is the headless CMS.
What is Headless?
Headless mainly consists two words head + less. Head means the frontend part and less means without. The CMS without any dependency on frontend or we can say without any frontend/view layer that is known as Headless OR A CMS that can separate their content from presentation layer or any third party layer and server their content to any third party system that kind of CMS is known as Headless CMS.
What is the use case where we can use the Sing Content Exporters?
Suppose we have a web-application in AEM and we have carousel present in the home page and client wants to change the image on the carousel each day. And we have some third party applications like Android and IOS application for the same web-application. The ultimate goal is when we will change the content on the AEM web app like image in the carousel in same way the content should be change on the third parties application like in Android or IOS app.
